I’ve been waiting for you
Waiting for you
That one day it all comes together
When everything makes sense
I know why this happened
Why that happened
The tragedies, the war in my heart, the countless hours spent
But disappointed I am
You haven’t come yet
So I wait patiently

I’ve been waiting for you
Blindly waiting for you
Summers to winters
Winters to summers
The wrinkles start to form, then expand
Family and friends disappear, forever gone I ask you…

But you, keep your secrets safe and still
I remain calm and tame
I’ve been waiting for you
Waiting for you
Staring straight ahead into unknown darkness
You have not come yet -though at the end of my rope I am

And now I realize I’ve wasted my whole life waiting for you
I’ve waited for you
Waited for you
I shouldn’t have waited for you

And now, the life I know disappears to soundless black.

Better to have expected nothing than to have been disappointed
